No flat-pack, no veneered chipboard. Every piece is drawn up for your room, cut from solid oak and finished by hand.

How we work

Twenty years in, still fussy about every joint.

I started Oak & Grain in 2005 after my apprenticeship on the Minster estate. Today it's me, two joiners and an apprentice in a small workshop off Murton Way.

Our oak comes from a family sawmill near Malton, air-dried and kiln-finished, so it won't move once it's in your home. You'll deal with the same faces from the first cuppa to the final coat of oil.
