Family solicitors in Leeds
We are a two-solicitor practice that helps with divorce, arrangements for children and mediation. Our advice is clear, our fees are honest, and you will always deal with the same person from your first meeting to the end.
How we help
Most of our clients come to us at a point of upheaval. We look after the legal side so you can give your attention to yourself and your children.
We guide you through no-fault divorce and civil partnership dissolution. Every stage is explained in plain English.
We help you agree where your children live and how they spend time with each parent. If agreement isn't possible, we represent you at court.
Calm, structured sessions with an accredited mediator, held in person or by video. It is usually quicker and kinder than going to court.
A fair division of the home, savings and pensions, made legally binding so that you can both move on.
Our approach
"We never forget that behind every file is a family trying to find its way to a new normal."
We look for agreement first because it protects your children and your bank balance. When the other side won't engage, we are ready to stand firm for you in court.
Tell us a little about your situation. We'll explain whether we can help and what the next step would be. There's no obligation.
You'll have an hour with your solicitor at our office or by video. We'll go through your options, likely timescales and realistic costs.
Within two working days you'll receive a clear summary of what we discussed and our recommended route forward.
If you instruct us, the solicitor you met will handle your case personally. You won't be passed between departments.
The solicitors
We kept the practice small on purpose so that we always know your case by heart.

Eleanor has practised family law in Leeds for eighteen years. She specialises in complex finances and pension sharing. She founded Harbour in 2016 because she wanted to offer the patient, personal service she would want for her own family.

Daniel focuses on child arrangements and relocation cases. He is known for his steady presence in the courtroom and his practical, child-centred advice. He is a father of two and a volunteer at a Leeds family support charity.

Money worries shouldn't add to an already difficult time. These are our most common fixed fees.
A 60-minute consultation in person or by video, followed by a written summary of your options and the next steps.
We manage the whole application from start to final order. The £612 court fee is payable separately.
Each session lasts 90 minutes with an accredited mediator. Your initial MIAM costs £120, and the Family Mediation Voucher may cover part of your costs.
